First, (and what most on this forum seem to generalize as all trump supporters), is the racist, homophobic white male who feels passed by and dis-enfranchised.
But the democrats are dangerously oversimplifying if they overgeneralize all Trump supporters into this category. There is also the anti gun control, and anti-abortion lobbies, as well as a lot of rich people who love his tax and business policies. If they are not able to address some of these issues with reasonable proposals, they are in serious danger of losing.

Not that you'll ever read this but the only assault on white males is by other white males who think that education and healthcare are too damn expensive since FYGM, so it's cheaper to import cheap immigrant labor or take jobs overseas where you only pay $2.50 a day.

When a bunch of folks cannot stand tall on their leader's lack of promises fulfilled on critical issues like providing a real replacement affordable health care program and an infrastructure program that creates jobs, or the lack of outstanding accomplishments in the field of foreign relations (rather just the opposite), or even having to ignore how their leader and party gave themselves and the very wealthy a nice hefty tax break while "showering" the working class with measly crumbs brushed off their leader's gilded dining tables, all they have left is an attitude of defiance while they're sitting in lifeboats stranded at sea because their ship of state is taking on water and heavily listing bow down in heavy storm driven seas.

They'd prefer this over admitting they were wrong because there is no other feasible alternative toward proving they were right in their being loyal to party and then having that be a priority over any other factor in their decision making processes for choosing their leadership.

When a fella can't admit what an abject failure Trump is yet will instead unquestionably defend him and his failures with vapid "feelings", "hopes and dreams" and visions of grandeur that literally defy the truths and facts of the matter where Trump and the actions of their legislators are concerned, well, what can anyone say or do for them except push hard for free and clear elections and vote according to what's actually real and factual rather than as many Repubs have done, voting from the feelings they get from the contrived hate and fear their supposed representatives fill their heads with.

There is just so much we could talk about here. I am going to start out as if you might be interested:

First off, I believe that our attitude and view of the world is dependent on how we feel. If we believe, for example, that we are under siege we will see evidence of that around us. We will see negative things as confirmation.

And are we under siege. I think we are indeed, the working man is under siege and mostly from declining job opportunities and lower wages. That isn't the fault of black or brown people, they are getting fucked even worse because they face extra discrimination. That is the fault of the financial elite, the one percent who have usurped productivity gains for themselves and they are not stupid. They succeed by driving the white working class against other struggling workers, promoting Republicans with their no business regulations, anti Unionism and tax cuts. They have divided us in a self mutilating war so they can drink our blood.

The reason you see more and more claims against white racism is because it keeps whites in fear of minorities so they don't turn on the real cause of why we are under siege. They feed paranoia and reap dollars as their reward. It's called being played.

So in my opinion the rage that has driven white people into the arms of con men like Trump may indeed destroy the country because women blacks and browns aren't going to sit calmly by either as they go down.

So while I do believe white working people are getting fucked, I think it is partly self generated. You got being fucked right but you got the wrong enemy. And if people wake up to what is really happening I think the elites are going to piss their pants. My hope is that more and more democrats start thinking about people like you as future allies.

You probably know that in the trenches in war, tremendous bonds form between soldiers. They will die for each other. It's just a natural form of socialism that happens among team members and there is just one human race.

No. In a little while Trump will have lost every ounce of weight and credibility on the international scene the US had, you will no longer be able to throw your weight around to get the planet on the same page in regards to climate. This era might well be the point in history we lost the climate battle. They've lost an opportunity to get a better deal from the Capitalist Elite which is really what they wanted in the first place. That's what Trump promised them, isn't it?
