Hi, I was wondering if anyone had heard of issues with Gigabyte X79 motherboards? You go to Gigabyte and they list 9 models. Try finding them for sale anywhere though? Newegg lists 2, and they are the cheaper models only.

So, I was wondering if anyone had heard of issues with them that Gigabyte might have pulled most of them from retail?

Probably because X79 was kind of outdated even back when it launched in 2011, and is about to be replaced by X99 here in a few months.

Plus, ASUS dominated X79 pretty hard; if you look at all the other options its not like the other companies have many more choices than Gigabyte. MSI and EVGA only have 1 unique model in stock, ASRock only has 3 models...its really only ASUS that has a healthy amount of choice for X79.
