I just totalled my car, so my insurance is basically paying off my current loan and I have t go buy another car. Good thing is, I'll get much better interest rate this time because my credit is better and I paid off alot of debt.. So i'm going to take a step up and buy something better. My 2000 accord that I totalled, was my dream car for a while since my girlfriend when I was growing up had one when she turned 16, and always let me drive it.. When I got older, I bought one, decked it out like I always wanted, then totalled it.. lol

Now I want another dream car, which is a BMW 330 coupe.. I'll probably only have it for 2-3 years at most. I've been looking around, and this one really caught my eye. I'm going to test drive it tomorrow.

Wasting money on cars is never a good idea.

But I do it all the time. You only live once.

thats kinda the way i see it.. i almost died in my last accident. luckilly i only had minor injuries (soreness, bruises), but it could have been so much worse.. I need to have a bmw once in my life so better now than NOT later...

Would it be a stretch to go up to a M3? Think those are in the $30k range. Sorry, I'm a bad influence.

I'd say if you get the 330, you'll always be thinking you should have got the M3...

Also:-

- Grey leather is nasty
- Should get Nav/comms/TV on that spec car

Otherwise I like it!

Nah. Nothing like OEM. I like looking up a POI, selecting the phone number and it calling right from the main screen(turn on), then navigating there. :D

Ha. I'm not that worried about it, plus nothing OEM can match the sound quality of my eclipse deck, which has 8V pre-outs, sound staging and timing, plus the best cd sound quality out there.. I have about $4,000 worth of audio gear that would go in the car..

Sell the audio gear and get the M3. A high performance engine and a window down is all the music you need.

Meh, the HK in my M3 sounds good enough, and when I'm bored I listen to the soundtrack coming from the four pipes... :p

Don't keep it out of warranty... it will break you, unless you're rich. Make sure you realize in advance how expensive oil changes are, tires and routine maintenance are for this, because if you don't know, it will be a shock when the time comes to pay for upkeep on top of your payments. It ain't no Honda.

why would I want something that can only go fast in a straight line :p

1) Vipers are track cars, not just straight line cars.

2) You'd make up so much of a lead on the straight line that you could take all day in the corners and the slower car isn't going to catch up :p

track isn't going to help me as a daily :p I'd still rather have an M3 too, heh. the viper is just huge. not to say I didn't have a huge grin on my face as a passenger...

once i saw that older vipers were going for $30.. i was like "hmmm, another possibility for a dream car? :D:D" matched tires are about $1000 a set, and i imagine that the viper would go through them very quickly. no idea on reliability/repairs. maybe it'll be my midlife crisis car instead ;)

you must be like 5 feet tall to fit in that 3 series...might as well shoot for the 5 series to compensate for the lack of other things...
