Why Should I?

I notice that CompUSA has Nero 7 on sale for $29.99 after rebates, which is cheap enough. But I'm now using Nero OEM which came with my burner, and I'm wondering just what advantage having the new full version would give? Since I'm using x64, I already know that neither version would make InCD or ImageDrive work. I really wish that InCD was compatable, but I'm not really sure what ImageDrive is...unless it is a backup function. Can I get some advise and insight...primarily about the pros and cons of OEM vs retail?

I thought ImageDrive was a virtual CD driver (to mount ISOs as fake CDs) but check their site.

I was quite aware of the Nero website, but the information that they provide is not the same as that which a person that has used the versions would be able to give. I really do not care about extra functions, just whether the functions common to both are equal in reliability, performance, etc.

I've found Nero Wave Editor to be very useful and intuitive. If the retail version includes a fully functional version that's a plus.

I doubt that the wave editor would be a deciding factor for me, but I did check it out on the Nero Website. It appears that the only version being offered currently there, is the enhanced version, which is not the one on sale. It didn't use that title, but it appeared that it basically what you mentioned. The only data that I could find for the regular version of Nero 7. was that on the CompUSA website, and it didn't say much. However, I'm still looking for a reason to buy the program, other than extra functions. In other words, if the OEM version can do as well as Nero 7 on the functions that they share in common, I'll stickwith what I have.
