So what? He doesn't bring the Yankees talent and roster with him. He sure couldn't win any World Series games since 2000.

What is he going to do with the Dodgers? They haven't won a World Series in nearly two decades. Their best player only hit a mere 20 HRs. They don't have any pitching.

Good luck, Joe. I loved you for so long as a Yankee manager but you're in for some hurt with the Dodgers.

Yah A-Rod will love to be with Torre out of the NY spotlight. They could take the NL West with his numbers and will be able to make playoff impact in the NL.

He'll do a much better job dealing with the players then Grady Little did & until things went to crap in the locker room towards the end of the season the Dodgers were right in the thick of things out west.

The most important thing Torre did for the Yankees was to keep the boat from rocking ....somthing I predict Yankee fans will find out the hard way the next couple seasons even if they do manage a decent win/loss record.

They could easily afford him, but I seriously doubt they'll spend that kind of money ... he's looking for somthing in the area of $300 million & the Dodgers are historically very tight with the purse-strings.
