As others said it is hard to consider a show that lasted for ten years on cable as a failure. I think the show really picked up this past season and I am really hoping another network picks it up.

The real reason they failed...

1. Carter never got naked.

And nobody wants to see that now....

Which is why the ratings steadily declined as her expiration date was approaching 🙁

WTF?
Am I the only one who thinks she still looks as good as ever?

Yes.

She looks outstanding FOR HER AGE. But she's definitely showing more than a little pearness and her face is filling out in all the wrong places.

Those things aren't bad for someone who isn't 19 anymore, but as good as ever? no.

EDIT: And would I still hit it? Yes.

I have nothing against "older" women and still to find her somewhat attractive; except when they show her wearing fatigue pants and a turtleneck and it looks like she's got a full pillow stuffed into the front of her pants :shudder:

They already did a spin off show in case you all missed it who suggested that. Stargate: atlantis is not a very good spin off though. Too many characters who they make it difficult to like.

Production costs, loss off Richard Dean Anderson and the actors from Farscape kind of make it suck.

Correct. The show didn't fail, it finished. It finished at least one season late too, in my opinion. The show was about the chemistry of the cast. It sucked without Shanks, it sucked without Anderson. Had Shanks not come back it would have never made it as long as it did.

You all do know she was pregnant for a season, right? That creates certain wardrobe dilemnas.

Amanda is uber hottness, then and now.
