Why police need more power and should never have to identify themselves to the peons.

They were wearing bulletproof vests, drove up in a car with a red flashing light, and had a siren to boot.

But instead of executing a bogus search warrant, Durham police say three men posing as cops entered an Ajax home early Tuesday, handcuffed six people inside, and ransacked the home in search of money.

If real police could always go 'no-knock' these poor folks would never have been fooled by a bunch of amateurs with a fancy light on their car.

You never know with a left wing nutjob like this... Probably so ingrained in him is a secrete pro-totalitarian state agenda that he doesn't even know he isn't being sarcastic.

Don't even need a Sarcasm Meter. Kids these days would be lost if their iPhone didn't have a GPS App. When I was a kid we'd look into the sky and know instinctively which way was North and could find our way from there.

I thought the Police always use Blue Lights now, Emergency Vehicle Red, Wreckers, Dept of Highways etc Amber.

It varies from state to state on what in the way of flashing lights are to be used.
Red and Blue are generally reserved (in all states) for emergency vehicles though.

Sounds like something a conservative would say :D

Have you guys seen this one? Possibly NSFW since it's a police snuff film basically.

Breakdown :
Utah police are serving a search warrant. The police bust the guys door in and well... murder him. He was holding what looks like a gulf club, but they shot him as soon as they opened the door without being threatened or anything.

Then the VIP police officer tells him to get on the ground after he's been shot 3 times point blank and is already on the ground.

Didn't mean to post and run, last I checked there was one reply.

Of course I'm not being sarcastic. I'm a well known police-rights champion;)

Besides, this was all a red herring; if all citizens over the age of 11 were required to have surgically implanted finger-tip firearms with neuro-triggers, this invasion could never have been successful.

He was definitely wound up with the club, not exactly non-threatening manner. That being said, it seems the cops definitely jumped the gun (haa) on that one.

I mistook the club in his hand for a gun the first-time I watched the video.

Anyone bashing my door down without knocking or saying who they are can expect to get shot. Police or not.

I'd like to see no-knocks made illegal. Either identify first, clearly and loudly, or wait until the guy comes out. Even if it means a couple of perps get away it's not worth the mess that is no-knock.

Know a guy that spent 15yrs in prison for exactly that. Guy lived in a pretty bad neighborhood, and the police did a no knock raid on his house by mistake (they were after the neighbors across the street) in the middle of the night.

He awoke to his front door being bashed in with an ax, grabbed a 38 revolver and fired twice through the door hitting an officer in the arm.
The fact the police had no warrant for his address and didn't anounce themselves didn't keep his ass out of jail, and we have some of the toughest castle doctrine laws of any state.

In a completely separate incident Tuesday, police in Barrie rescued a cat trapped in a can of Beefaroni.
