It isn't better, it is different. This debate is stupid and you may as well start an argument about whether a spoon is better than a fork.
Making use of both offers a far better experience than going out of your way to justify why one is better than the other.
Well i have gone from a pc to a ps3 for gaming. Atleast for the last month all i been using is the ps3. Graffix are good enough. I play on a Sony 32xbr6 (same used for pc)
PC is couple years old but still viable. recent upgrade to vidcard. AsusP7P55D pro mb
Intel I5-750 LGA 1156
8gig ram
Evga GTX560 1024mb
Windows 7 - 64 bit
having fun with ps3 for now. only game i was really playing on the pc was Everquest 2.
sure you can get games cheaper online (steam, Direct2Drive) but lately most games seem to come out on all 3 formats (ps3/xBox/PC) and the pc version is a port of the console.
Recently tried Fallout New Vegas and i cant really see much difference in the way the game looked compared to when i played Fallout 3 on PC.
i searched online and found some review site that compared xbox-ps3-pc versions of Skyrym and they looked pretty close. Ended up buying a ps3 version of game even tho i had already paid for a copy of the pc version via pre-order.
so for me(for now) the ps3 works. plus i can trade in games when i am done with them. Try that with the pc version.
Yep, consoles excel at being shitty.Well I agree, I guess. They both excel at different things, so which is better depends on what you expect to get from the platform.
If you're judging by some specific criteria such as which has smoother frame rates, you absolutely can say one is better than the other, we can measure that objectively.

In a similar vein, I was looking at comparison videos of BF3 for PC and 360. The 360 had some particle effects that were worse, shadows were not as smooth, and some of the cut scenes studdered a bit. But seriously, I saw nothing that was going to make me jump out of my chair and say 'Damn, the PC version is night and day superior in every way - its like going from VHS to DVD !'.
