why only 6.64 v

running occt only showing 6.64v on the 12v. sorry if this is a dumb question im a newbie

There may be a red switch behind the psu, it can be set to 120 or 240. 240 is for europe and such where the plug will actually give 240, so the psu needs to step down the voltage way more.

Your 5v being at 3.27 sounds like it may be another problem though, but it's worth checking that switch. If that switch is not existent then the psu is probably auto regulating or does not support 240v.

no switch .my motherboard has an app called Abit Eq it says my 12v - 11.78v im confused

Impossible to know from the information you have provided.

Software voltage readings, especially those that are way out of spec, are basically worthless. If you want a reliable reading, get a multimeter and measure the voltage directly. And even that is really only part of the story, but it's a decent start.

If it is any comfort: If your psu was putting out 6.6V on the 12V line, your pc would definitally not be running. Even 10V the PC would probably not run.

As said before, most software readings are worthless.

Yeah this is true. I assumed he was using a multimeter and that the pc was not booting. Never assume... lol
