only 3400 in 3dmark 2003

🙁

that sounds about rite for your setup. my radeon 7500 only shells out like 1700, and my friend's radeon 9800 pro goes about 5000ish. your card is a low-mid-end card, so thats about average. with the new vid cards coming out soon, the radeon 9600 class will likely become low end cards, since you can already get the plain 9600 for about $90.

Wow thats as much as a 9600 Pro gets? my 9500 pro get like 1000 more points than that I thought they were a bit more equal I guess not ?

hell frikken no. 8 pipes vs 4, you figure it out.

The 9500Pro *is* better than a 9600Pro. The only reason ATI stopped making them is that they cost almost as much as a 9700Pro to produce...

I knew it was faster I thought it was just closer than that, thats all.

Aslo wtf is the code attachment in Por's post?

I get about 3500 on 3DM'03 with a 9600 Pro @ stock, nForce-2 motherboard with a 3000+ & a gig of RAM. If I overclock the nuts off the card, I can get 3960 (grr, only 40 short...), but that's with an enormous desk fan blowing directly onto the card.

Your score's about normal; if you want anything better, it's 9800Pro time 🙂

(Or even 9700Pro, if you find one at a better price...)

wrong, at $110 FOR A PRO it is makes an excellent budget card

Never get a 9600 anything right now with the 9800NP selling for $170 at newegg.

can you recommend a better card for $110? some people have smaller budgets than $170 for a video card
