Many pundits have argued Barack Obama's mastery of online social networks and his image as a BlackBerry-addicted, tech-hip person helped win him the presidency. Obama's Twitter feed has more than 2 million followers. He's the first president who addresses the nation on YouTube. So if Obama is so Internet savvy, what's happening with health care?

If Obama claims that there is so much misinformation out there, that his opponents are spreading rumors about the bill - Why does he not use tech like maybe open a website to clearly and concisely lay out his plan in a why that does not leave any room for rumors?

maybe because he does not have a clear plan, all he has is a bunch of vague plan?

There is misinformation from all sides and vagaries abound.

All the more reason to have a solid and factual presentation that everyone can view for themselves at anytime.

Tech-oriented younger generation isn't the one who needs convincing?

Foot soldiers need their talking points too. Who else will "fight the good fight"?

Because the people who are most against reform and the most ready to believe the misinformation aren't the ones most prone to use the internet...

If you get my drift...

One does not argue against their dedicated opponent. One argues for the middleman, for the undecided, for the moderate.

Because then we would would have something in writing to hold him accountable to.

Because liberals dont want to hear his message?

He said the "public option" is not essential. The libs tend to ignore statements like this.

Precisely. Obama doesn't have a plan. The current 'plan' being discussed is a mish-mash of, IIRC, 3 or 4 bills proposed by the house and senate. One bill says one thing; another says something else - a big source of the confusion.

If a plan is so big and convoluted that it can't be properly summarized so that people can get a good handle on what's being proposed, it's a lousy plan.

I'd love to see him attempt to articulate the details of his plan online in black and white -- or any plan, for that matter. The problem is that no two representatives in either party can agree on what "the plan" should look like, and nobody has been able to provide details, of any kind, for any one of the many plans.

I'm tired of seeing grandiose statements made about the various plans and generic vague lists of nonsense -- I want to see the actual standards, specific benefits, and exact costs of "the plan."

But, for that, I'm not holding my breath.
