If CPUs can be clocked higher than stock why doesn't AMD sell them at the highest speed and get more profits?
Yeah, AMD is still trying to build their reputation. They don't want to be known as the company that sells you a chip that won't do what it's rated for. Can you imagine how many people would never buy an AMD chip again, if they had to RMA 2 or 3 in a row, because it wouldn't run at it's "rated" speed?Originally posted by: edmundoab
