Why not get rid of Federal labor laws instead of states' rights?

Jim DeMint must really hate States' Rights, despite being from the same state as John C Calhoun.

Why can't they just repeal federal labor laws instead of forcing states to be right to work? Getting rid of the Federal:
min wage laws, discrimination laws, maternity leave, fmla, adjustments, factory standards, no child labor laws, etc., etc., would be better and do more IMO.

If you oppose labor unions like I do, which do you think would be better between the National Right to Work Act vs. states' rights?

Will you please just stop posting?

Let's just start with the fact that the proverbial snowball in hell has a better chance at lasting than getting that list of federal labor laws repealed. It won't ever happen. They will not be getting rid of anything off that list. And getting rid of those laws won't suddenly create a magical cure to the economy, unemployment, or whatever the hell else you think it's going to somehow fix. So you are welcome to your opinion, you are welcome to trumpet it at the top of your lungs, or as welcome to pound it out through that keyboard your parents bought you, but it doesn't change how utterly moronic your opinion is, just like almost every other one of them you have publicized around here.

Jim DeMint and John Calhoun being from the same state has absolutely zero effect on anything. It's a trivia question, and I doubt even Jeopardy would be interested in that one. Congratulations, you read your high school history book and made a connection with a name you saw on the news. Now go back to school.

What states' rights are you proposing to somehow utilize instead of the federal labor laws, NRWA, and labor unions? Specifically, in detail, exactly what is the new system you would like to use instead, how will it function, and what "states' rights" will it utilize?

Maybe you should run for president when you get old enough in 25 years.

Leaving labor laws to the states, by repealing all federal labor legislation is what I mean by "states' rights":)

Don't fart now.

Why not let Multinational corporations engage in some nice divide and conquer, promote a race to the bottom?

State and local politicians are ever so much cheaper than national ones...

What a great idea!

So you're in favor of government control over individual rights ?

You're a strange anarchist.

Look at what the unions are trying to do to Boeing.

The fact of the matter is that the federal government isn't a neutral body, they are pro union and that isn't what it should be.

Because if you do that corporations will rape with impunity, as they have throughout all of time. Corporations are inherently evil and destructive, and without an equally powerful, opposing force regulating them they will destroy the world.

There are three options:

1) No regulation of corporations. Corporations destroy the world.
2) Government regulates corporations. The 10% doesn't get quite as obscenely wealthy/powerful, but the world endures.
3) People are free to act out against corporations for their abuses. The world descends into total true anarchy with random bombings, executions, private armies, etc.

I think we should go back to a true specie based society, just like the Ferengi.

You carry your gold and silver strips with you, none of this bogus federal paper!

(I'd also accept a Species based society where we all get to mate with Natasha Henstridges.)

I like you stoner.

What was the question?

Oh yea... How can you be against people utilizing their right to form a monopoly?!

If you don't oppose this then why do you oppose labor unions, which are simply monopoly agreements made in the labor market?

You don't understand; corporations are only good when they are formed by virtuous capitalists, not when they (unions) are formed by evil workers.

most states would be better off going back to territory status and dump all fed.influence that interferes with sovereignty.

That's beyond lame. Territories were governed directly by federal authorities, and actually gained sovereignty with Statehood.

I'm sure you won't let facts interfere with the formulation of your opinions, such as they are.
