Why No "Wireless" Forum????

Tired, wired networks should have its own forum, for those who care. FDDI? Token ring? You don't seem to get out much. Those are non-issues outside the IT professional world. Is that you?

General hardware? Gee, why don't we consolidate into two forums: Hardware Forum and Software Forum?

Been reading any general interest magazines lately? Wireless is the biggest thing to hit computing since the Web. Go ahead, call it a fad so I can have a good laugh.

Wireless has lots of hardware and software issues. I don't believe those who have an interest in wireless should have to pick through extraneous material in several forums to get what they need. It should have its own forum.

A raging blaze in the Network Forum? I'm not sure what is meant, but if true, it proves my point. It has enough critical mass to warrant it's own forum. If not, wireless just gets lost amoung all the wired network chatter about FDDI, so it should have its own forum. Either way....

If you love wireless so much, why don't you start www.wirelessforums.com ?

If Zuni/the admins think it's needed, they'll create it, and right now it doesn't seem like anyone thinks it's needed.

Thanks for the thread crap, guys. LOL. Now go back to your server farm. Since you don't have any say in it, I'm happy I've given Zuni something to think about, which was the whole point in the first place. Wireless is huge and should have a separate forum. "Build it and they will come."

Wi-Fi products & Wi-Fi networking discussions belong in the networking forum. End of story.....

I suppose if Zuni really felt it necessary, he could "partition" the networking forum (with subcategories) into Ethernet, Wireless, and Software / General, but a separate Wireless forum is definitely not necessary, and after the novelty of a new forum wore off, it would receive about as much traffic as Peripherals does now.
