Why no Win10 support for ASUS Z87 boards?

The semantics of "supported". It means ASUS is not going to bother obtaining any WHQL or "ready for" certs for their older discontinued models, only for marketing it's newer or current models.

What tcsenter said. Yeah, it's fine.

If you're really worried about it, you can probably just download newer reference drivers from Intel or whoever made whatever component(s) you need drivers for. (Realtek, etc.) They'll probably be signed.

I didn't even check to see if my z87 board was compatible before i loaded windows 10 on it. Never really crossed my mind but everything works fine. Mine's a gigabyte but the drivers on the support site are all reference Intel drivers.
