Why no Samsung 900NF reviews?

For it's price, the Samsung 900NF is a good 19" monitor. Many users - including myself - have reported annoyances with the 900NF, including less than spectacular color saturation and geometry problems.

I currently own one and like it, but it's far from being the "best monitor.

It's one of the best DiamondTron NF monitor you can get. DiamondTron NF itself is a good tube if not the best tube. In my opinion they look just as good as FD Trinitron, whichever you prefer is simply up to your eyes. Not everyone agrees one looks better than the other.

My fiancee's Samsung (same model number) has a dead "pixel" on it. Just stays black the entire time.. Got it about 2 months after she bought the monitor.. Other than that it's a decent monitor. I have a KDS 19" and I like it.. (you hush LXi 😛 j/k)

Just a quick note, dead pixel is a problem among all monitors, it's not just isolated to Samsungs.

The FD trintron tube is known to have better color saturation than the NF tube. I've heard that NF tubes have clearer text though. You wont be disappointed with the NF.

True, both has its advantages. But as far as I've seen the colors on the Mitsubishi tubes looks just fine. Like I said, different people will see it differently. Just like some people like AG and others shadow mask.

Sure it's a problem LXi, but within 2-3 months of having it? None, and I mean NONE of my past monitors have had one, in fact my 5 year old 15" panasonic monitor didn't get one until passing it's 4.5 year lifespan. I realize any monitor can have this problem, but I just thought it wasn't normal to get one being that old (my KDS still has none .. knock on wood), hence the reason I posted 😛

CyStar: use that warranty then... bad pixels can happen to any brand of monitor. it's a draw of hand type deal.
