Why no review of the nexus 9?

It's the first and only 64 bit android device. It's the first and only use of the new Nvidia cpu. It's a nexus device, so pretty important in the world of android as it shows future direction. It's perhaps the only device that does lollypop to the full (being a new 64 bit install). Well worth a review I would have thought.

Anandtech haven't reviewed it, despite previewing it over a month ago (so I guess having the tablet for that long)? Did they fall out with google, have they started slacking since Anand left?

Anyone from Anandtech want to comment as to why?

I don't know if a review is coming or not. But Anandtech is usually pretty thorough and it does take a while for some reviews to come out. The Nexus 7 2013 review didn't come out for a month. So maybe soon if it's happening.

They reviewed it, realized it was absolutely terrible, and asked nvidia for money not to post the review, which nvidia gave them.

It's a pretty mediocre tablet for the price and the 32gb storage option is egregiously overpriced.

The reviews are in. Do not buy it.

And it kills me to say that, because I really wanted a larger 4:3 aspect Android tablet too. HTC really f'ed this up good.

I don't know if I'd put it that way, but historically Anand has almost always contributed to these articles. That's a really hard thing to fully recover from losing so quickly.

No SD slot, Apple style BS *^&*%&*)#($*)#$&

It's the reason why I bought the Xiaomi Mipad, an 8", 4:3, Tegra K1, 2GB, a 64GB internal memory + mSD slot!! but horrible software experience though; thanks to this A** hole at Google who decided not to include a mSD slot in their nexus devices.
.......

They're offering a 64GB Nexus 6; their older offerings used to come with 32GB max. So it's not the cloud storage BS as before since they're offering more internal storage option. Could someone PLEASE EXPLAIN why don't they include a mSD slot FFS?

It's like buying a laptop with no USB slot and stuff! Give me options damn it.

Dammit, stop saying we need 4:3 tablets. Companies see that crap and actually do it. We need that AR to DIAF. Leave it in the 80s where it belonged.

I have APEX launcher installed, and that made a big difference.

But, memory management is terrible, the damn thing FORCES checking mi market every time I side load an app. They woun't release the kernel source...etc

It's not like they're going to stop producing 16:9 tablets! I LOVE the 4:3 AR for reading & it's just OK for video watching.

Why are so many whining about an SD card slot? I don't think there's been a nexus device to date that had one, so I don't know why anybody would have expected different.

There hasn't . . . but people still want one. Justifiable complain, if you're going to continue to sell tablets with pitiful 16GBs of install storage.
