Why no pictures from the Moon?

I've not seen may highly detailed pictures from our Moon since the 1970s.

I'd be nice to see the craters and other formations.

We pretty good cameras now and few missions have gone there for past 40+ years.

Do you have any sources of more modern pictures?

I've heard of this thing called Google Images that might be able to provide some assistance in your quest.

I just saw on Reddit yesterday that one of the highest resolution pictures in existence is a 36 GIGA-pixel image of the moon.

I could be wrong. But anyways... google that shit.

except half of it.

More rocks. Yay.

We haven't sent any rovers or manned missions to the Moon since the 1970s. I think China landed a rover on it recently but it didn't last very long.

It has actually been functioning and doing science ever since it landed. Its main problem is that its immobile so it can't get at any new areas if study, so they're just studying what is in the immediate vicinity with the instruments.

Of course, that was probably glossed over the in the national media.

Because then people will realize that the moon landings were staged when no one is able to show proof of the lunar lander or the flag on the surface of the moon.

Oh, have I got a picture for you!

This picture of the Apollo 12 landing site was taken by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, or LRO. I'm sure there are more pictures from the LRO that can be found, e.g. by Google. Edit: Or by IronWing.

If, on the other hand, you're looking for pictures from the moon, there aren't many, and none from Americans. :\

Why do you have to ruin the fun with your facts and figures.

Don't worry, the same govt that provided the moon landing script provided the pic.

Yup. It is all a huge multi-decade conspiracy that spans a handful of presidents, a generation of NASA administrators, and a complete detachment from the motivations that spawned the space race.

It's the Moon Nazis. I saw a documentary about this on Netflix, I think it was called Iron Sky.
