Why no PC DVI to Toshiba RSP ?

My Toshiba 65" RSP has a DVI input but the manual says it is not for PC DVI use. Why, what happens if you try it? Would like to use for some games. Have looked for this answer on AV Forums with no luck. Toshiba does not seem to have any way to question tech support on their website.
 
give it a shot. they just dont want to support it. might have to use powerstrip to set custom resolutions and scan rates.
