Why no opengl vsync for nvida

I have a 6800 and a 4200. When I play opengl games on either of them, I get that anoying tearing. I have vsync turned on in the diplay properties. But, that doesn't do anything. With ATI's display settings, there is a seperate setting for DirectX and Opengl. Is there something else I'm missing here?

"Wait for vertical refresh" is common to OpenGl and D3D in ATI's Catalyst drivers, not a seperate setting for each.

Yea there is, I also have a 9800. You set up opengl and DirectX serperatly.

Sounds like you missed a couple (several) driver updates.

Have you tried ingame settings?

r_swapinterval 1 will get you vsync in Q3 engine games. It should work though drivers though, the control panel option is for both D3D and OpenGL and I use it regularly for both. Might try reinstalling or updating your drivers if you would like the option to work.
