Why no "ignore user" function for AT?

I'm curious as to why this hasn't ever been implemented. The amount of flaming in OT and the Playp&N would be greatly diminished IMHO. Any of the usual suspects creates a flamebait thread and they might as well not have bothered since they're probably already on everyone's ignore list. Out of sight, out of mind, no pointless flamewars.

I agree completely, for substantially the same reasons. An ignore feature would allow the posts to be viewable by anyone who wanted to view them, while allowing those of us who wanted to ignore posts by the usual trolling suspects to do so. I don't really see a downside to it.

The biggest issue I see with this is that trolls get quoted 99% of the time anyway. You'd have to filter out damn near everyone.
