Why no firmware update for Logitech G7?

Why has logi issued a firmware update for the G5, but not for the G7 which is just as troubled?

Never heard of that.

What is wrong with the G7? Other than it sucking power like a fish drinks, the mouse is fine.

The G5 and the G7 laser mice track imperfectly on most mouse pads. The firmware for the G5 solved it, but nothing has been released for the G7.

No problems here using pad, no pad and all terrain. Much better than the 1000MX slug which was horrible on a wool blanket, for example.
