Why no component input cards for computers?

Is there any particular reason that there haven't been any component input cards available for pc's?

(maybe there have been, i have no idea)
 
FireWire? Honestly I don't know but it's probably a lot less stressing to the system to capture from FireWire than from a component input.
 
I wish there was! I'm baffled as to why there isn't such a device with the popularity now of HTPC's and such!

But that would defeat the purpose of running the components to the computer in the first place...
