How come the only coupe Audi makes is the girly-mobile TT? I love the look of their newer cars but they don't make any coupes! Only sedans. And I believe that quatro is FWD until it loses traction. Seems to me like Audi dosn't care about enthusiests very much.

I believe they are working on a A4 coupe and a uber-expensive coupe called the Nuvolari.

Quattro is AWD all the time, it has an 50/50 torque split front and back. What your thinking of, is the AWD system used in the TT and Jetta?passat/Golf (4Motion)

I never understood this facination with 2 doors = performance? They are harder to get in and out of, cost more to insure, and are a bitch to get anything in and out of the back seat. Audi is about function - hence their very strong support of hatchbacks and wagons.

Besides - the A3 is coming stateside soon, they have a 2 door A4 convertible out, and they are also going to be producing a 2 door "GT" car shortly.

An A4 coupe would be cool and almost worth buying if they'd offer a rear-wheel drive option.

Cool, I'm not trying to troll. I would definatly consider getting an Audi for myself if the A4 came in a coupe. The A3 is the hatchback, right? Sorry, but I think hatchbacks are kinda girly/lame, too. Don't want to hurt anybody's feelings but that is my opinion. Anyone have a link to an in-depth look at quatro?

Jist of it is, that its a TORSEN based system. That means it doesn't used a viscious coupling in the center diff, it uses gears, which makes it more effective. Link to Info. This site has a whole lot more info on a lot ofother things

It is unlikely that Audi would ever offer a RWD only car. They were pioneers in FWD and AWD.

Quattro is simple Audi's marketing term for AWD. Traditionally they were only Torsen systems, but Audi uses the term for their Haldex systems as well (TT, and A3/S3).

OMG! That thing is the nicest looking car I have seen in a long, long time. Now that BMW has fallen off, Audi will do a great job at the top spot.
