Actually, I do almost 100% of my shopping at Newegg, but still they sometimes bewilder me.
Why?

Here's one:
I've been tracking the prices on their Athlon Socket A processors and today just went a little nuts.

2800+ Barton (333) OEM was $108, then on 1/29/05 it went to $94 and today it went to $145!

2600+ Barton (333) OEM is $82 whereas the retail version is $129

2500+ Barton (333) OEM is $79 whereas the retail version is $115

The semprons all seem stable and reasonable as do the mobile Bartons, but the XP's are fluctuating wildly.
Maybe these are spot market prices as I believe they are no longer produced.

Supply and demand my friend. The AXP Bartons are being replaced by Sempron so the stock of old AXP Bartons is, well... not consistent.

That's my $0.02

Supply and demand. NewEgg doesn't have the best deals like they used to. They built up a great customer base and now they're changing their prices to make more money.

Actually, I see now that the high price is on items that newegg hasn't had available for some time. Apparently, one of their buyers decided it would pay to offer items that are quite hard to find. Perhaps some of you guys will buy they as collectors' items.

You just whine and complain.

Wrong again. I just saw it as a curiosity, kind of like you guys with your needs to make personal attacks. Don't you have anything else to do? Go play a video game and get angry cause you lose.
