Good for you :) I would never stop worrying if a loved one was riding a motorcycle. Seen too many people "go" that way :(

People like you just don't get it. You're so damn selfish you're at least as bad as those who ride.

I understand the risks I'm taking. I could die tomorrow. I'm riding out to Sturgis next Thursday, and there's the possibility I'll never come back. But I'm not willing to give up riding just to extend my life a little bit. Statistically speaking, I could just as easily die from cancer 9 months from now. So why would I not ride my motorcycle?

My daughter is the most important thing in my life. I love her more than anything. A very close second is riding. Other than my daughter, it's the reason I live. Would I give up either of them to have the other for a little while longer? Not a chance. I'm only on this planet for a short while anyway, so I'm going to make the most of it while I'm here.

need a large SUV will opt out of the license and get something else keeping the roadways less congested

So, if I don't drive an SUV but drive a car instead, the roads will be less congested. Did you really think that thru before typing it?

SUV"s are bigger than cars, so yes. Or do you think they're the same size? :Q;)

Anyways, I was half serious about that part. I should have added a smiley I guess so people like you can tell I'm being somewhat sarcastic. I don't think people switching from SUV's to cars would make a significant difference environmental wise except probably air pollution because of the lighter (or none?) standards. My post wasn't really about that though, was it?

Hah... damn, I remember reading this story on the net about a time in the future when everyone drove huge land yachts that handled like dump trucks and the story was about someone who was driving a car and was constantly afraid for his life on the roads. In fact, the huge SUV drivers in that story constantly tried to run these guys off the road ;)
Sounds just a little bit like today doesn't it? ;p
