Why my Radeon 9800 only got 5000 - 5100 score range in 3D2003 benchmark?

Why my new Radeon 9800 Pro only got around 5000 - 5100 score in 3D2003 benchmark????

I have Pentium 2.4Ghz 533FSB 512Mb Cache CPU
512 rdram (PC800)
Radeon 9800 Pro 128Mb (built by ATi) (Catalyst 3.2)
80Gb 7200 rpm 8Mb cache hardrive
Sound Blaster Audigy
Window XP Pro with all the lastest updates such as SP1a, DX9a, etc.

sounds about right to me. the scores in 2k3 were lowered and thus will not be higher than the 2k2 scores

Nevermind, I got 5300+ now cause my CPU was set to 1800Mhz instead of 2400Mhz.
But ppl with AthlonXP 2400 got around 5400+ in 3DMark2003, so Im guessing Amd cpus are better for game than Pentium????

uh...its not only the cpu that matters...lots of people overclock their videocards and memory...i'm running my p4 @ 2.6 and a Radeon 9700 Pro and get about 4800 3dmarks

wow, i got less than 900

ya, 900.

some games in 3dmark03, i even have 0~1 fps(the 2 zorks)

but the game i play today don't have this problem.
