I am using SONY 12x8x32.

anyone experience the same? It's ok to read CDR for ordinary CDROM but not CDRW.

is yer cd rom multi-read (mostly an icon on the frontpanel indicates that, cdrw's are mostly multi read and can only be red by milti read compatible drives)

Right... I think...

A CDRW can only be read in a CDRW drive.
So if you burn some stuff onto a CDRW disk and then try and read it in your regular old CDROM, it won't be able to read the disk. However, any CDRW drive should be able to read the disk, not just the one that created it.

Also if you are using Adaptec/Roxio Easy CD-Creator, make sure you're not using Direct CD mode, or else the other computer needs to download a UDF reader.

Cheers.

I agree with cchan. It probably has to do with the software that you burned the CD-RW with. Most CD-ROMs that are somewhat current (last two years) are set up to be multi read. My DVD and CD-ROM in both computers can read the CD-RWs I produce with my burners.

A large part is the fact that cd-rw's are only 15% as reflective as regular cd's. Therefore they are not reflective enough for a lot of cd-readers and can therefore not be read properly or is some cases at all.
