Why my 3DMark score too low?

Hi, I just built a computer with:
AMD64 3500+ Winchester
BFG 6800 GT OC
MSI K8N Neo2 Plat
Everything runs at stock, no OC at all

With all default setting:
3DMark01: 9012
3DMark05: 2087

Please tell me what's wrong! Thank you in advance!

My slightly oced 6600 GT runs better than that, no offence. ; )
Oh, you should install the newest drivers and you'll be set. If that doesn't work, keeps asking.

Check your motherboard drivers, that might be an issue.
Make sure to use the latest motherboard and graphics card drivers.
Check you have AGP 8x enabled.
Check you have AGP texturing enabled.

Do Start -> run -> DXdiag -> OK
Go to "Display" tab. Check everything is "enabled".

motherboard drivers always get overlooked, yet they have massive impacts on performance. get the latest ones off nvidia.com

should be the 5.10's

I had the same problem with my Neo2. Go to MSI and DL the latest chipset drivers. That will make all the difference.

Edit: Actually get the drivers from nVidia's site as said above.

Hi, Thank you everyone for your help! I have checked the following:
BIOS: v1.5
Graphic Drv: 71.84
Chipset Drv: Unified 5.1 (from nvidia). Why is it still 5.03 on MSI website?
Directx: 9.0c, AGP texture, Direct3D, DirectDraw all enabled
RAM reserved for Graphic card (bios setting): 256MB
Hardware Device Manager: no conflict

Should I "clean boot" the system for the benchmark test? Anything else I can try?

Hi,
I ended up reinstall WinXP and all the drivers that came with the driver CDs (I don't know if they are the latest - How do I check for their version?). I got

3DMark01: 22001
3DMark05: 4952

Should I install the chipset driver from nVidia (Unified 5.1) or MSI (5.03)? Thanks!
