Just curious why my AMD 1 gig processor registers as a 750 meghrz. Any ideas? I haven't flashed the bios yet. Maybe that will take care of it.

What motherboard do you have?

Most likely culprit is that you got a 266FSB chip on a 200FSB
7.5*133=1000, 7.5*100=750.
If you unlock it, it'll be fine.

Hi,

I have a similar problem in that my "1GHz chip" is recognised as a Duron 700. I am guessing (after doing some CPUID tests etc) that the chip I have been given is actually the wrong chip though (checking that on the weekend), which would be different to your problem or course.

I also have the Asus A7v133.
