You're not making much sense - at least not to me anyway!

The normal effects, are the same as no effects, which is the default. The light effects will reduce all the EAX effects in a game somewhat. If you look in the source tablet (in environmental audio). You can see that light effects reduce the reverb/chorus effects to 65%.

Have creative made a patch to solve this then??
With Dungeon Keeper 2, I use light effects and it sounds pretty good.

When are we gonna get Liveware 4.0??

Patch to solve what? It's working as intended, as far as I can see. "No Effects" just means: don't add any global reverb/chorus, etc, since the game will tell you where and when to do this on its own. (As compared to "Play legacy game" settings, where it basically adds "metallic room" reverb or some such to the WHOLE game, at ALL times).

Ah I'm with it now.

If a game has its own EAX, then use that. Otherwise, you can set up your own effects for it.
