Why must undocumented (illegal) aliens register for selective service

I hope I'm reading the above link correctly. It is indicating that an undocumented person must register for Selective Service.

I understand this.

But, how can the US trust the acts in war of an undocumented person who's beliefs/dictator/party of his/her previous county has not been denounced yet.
