Why must stores give multiple receipts when paying with credit card? They should just combine it into one or something...its annoying. I got like 3 receipts from roundtable lol.

1. Sales slip (itemized, given if register is old-school)
2. Register receipt
3. Credit card transaction receipt (if register doesn't integrate with merchant acct processing)

If it bothers you that much you should donate a few thousand dollars to the store so they can get an integrated inventory / POS system so you only get one receipt.

Only time you get multiples is if the credit card machine si not linked up with the cash register. If it is (like most places) you get your listing of items, a total, and the place to sign all on one. WHen it's not, you get one with the listing of items and a total, and theo ther with just the total and the CC info because the cashier had to type in the total.

It's just for retards with old crappy systems.

Or for geniuses who know the value of a non-itemized receipt for turning in with your expense report.

it just depends on if their CC system is integrated with their POS system

if not, you get multiple receipts
