paper cuts hurt, cardboard cuts HURT, but what sucks the most is when you buy something in a sealed plastic container, like a compact flash card or windshield wiper blades, and you cut your finger in the process of trying to rip those open...

i have a filleted (sp?) index finger on my left hand cuz of trying to open a CF card and CF reader today that were packed in those crazy hard plastic sealed thingies...

just remember, if u get a paper cut, don't suck on it... the bacteria in your mouth will up the chances for infection

last semester, I managed to get a paper cut in my eye (a manilla envelope) ! Argh!

edit: I have also had several major, blood-gushing gashes from those Eclipse chewing gum foils

when i played water polo, the goalie got his cornea scraped by one of the balls... (if you've ever handled one of those balls, you know it hurt....)

I've got about a half dozen "valve cover" cuts on my right hand. Those things are sharp at the edges!

Hey weezergirl try super glue.. no joke! Super glueing over it to close it works wonders.. I read it in one of those home medicine books or whatever awhile back.. worked nicely for my last paper cut and it healed shut real quick + best of all was stopping the pain

What if it drops on your foot?!

If it drops on your foot you will wish you used paper and embrace the occasional lasserations.

Cuticle rips are worse, IMO. I had a job in a warehouse down in Mexico packing boxes and everynow and then my finger would get jammed between a box and the materials that were being packed and the cuticles from my figers would rip and recede a few cms. The pain was unbareable. BTW, cuticle is the thin layer of skin that covers your finger nail.

Now that is pain!

I cut up my right hand thumb pretty badly while installing an AMD stock heatsink with my finger. The aluminum fins at where the clip end comes out are sharp. I should have used a screwdriver.

I partly blame AMD, because their online instruction says to use screwdriver or nutdriver which sounds more logical, but the enclosed booklet said to use your finger.

Actually, a pin prick is not quite as painful as a paper cut. :)

LOLOL sorry, but that's funny. I've never had a paper cut in my eye, but once when i was drunk, i tried to spit my gum out in a full ashtry, and instead went blind for about 15 mins.

I used to work in a printing workshop. You know those big paper cutter machines? Well, after the paper is cut, we have to pack it into those A4 sized photocopy paper packs. Darn, those cuts were terrible. Try squeezing lemon or orange after that! :disgust:
