Closed Sundays. It's part of the Chick-fil-A® recipe.
Admittedly, closing all of our restaurants every Sunday makes us a rarity in this day and age. But it's a little habit that has always served us well, so we're planning to stick with it.

Our founder, Truett Cathy, wanted to ensure that every Chick-fil-A employee and restaurant operator had an opportunity to worship, spend time with family and friends or just plain rest from the work week. Made sense then, still makes sense now.

I never want a Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit until Sunday morning.

Read again, it is. The founder wants to force his beliefs on others so of course the bible says you can;t work on the sabath(sp?) So he said no store can be open on Sunday. I am sure the new people liek to put a happy spin on it, but that is why it is.

"Our decision to close on Sunday was our way of honoring God and directing our attention to things more important than our business. If it took seven days to make a living with a restaurant, then we needed to be in some other line of work. Through the years, I have never wavered from that position.?

Woudl be nice if Papa John's followed that some routine (from the perspective of an employee there) :D

But, if I wanted pizza that day, I'd hate it - hah :p

so what? i am one to be like you also and not eat or patronize religious accociated things, but that was in the past....a ton of things USED to be based on religion, a bet there is a lot of things you do/say today that were based onr eligion and you do not even know it...

plus where do you get "forced" from that little section? man if you see that you need help....did you have a bad run in with a preist?? becuase i am pretty sure it does not say "Take today off and make sure i see you in church becuase if your not there you are fired!"

Actually when he first started he would ask where his employees went to church and check up on them. This is a old fact. And if they realkly wanted to change they would be open on Sunday. Look it up, its not like it is a secret.

Yes. I don't care who runs the place, as long as I get the great service and product, that's all that matters to me :p

Marlin1975,

Ever stop to think that you may be as intolerant as the religious people you think you oppose?

I used to be an atheist activist, until one day I realized I became exactly what I was opposing.

Good post - I realized this also. Besides, it's such a waste of time to put so much effort into opposing religion. I don't believe in it myself, but I don't give the beliefs of someone else that much attention - believe what you want, I don't care.
