Why might the NSA prefer symmetric key encryption to public key encryption?

You've already asked this exact same question in Off topic along with sevral other VERY simmilar quesitons . Why do you keep asking the exact same thing? Cut it out.

I have no idea as to the answer to your question but Torghn is right. If you've got a question then change your mind about what you want to ask you should edit your original post rather than post another very similar question. I have a feeling you'll get more (positive) responses that way.

Seriously boLbim33, perhaps the reason is so that the NSA can find out anything they want to, while keeping the "average" hacker at bay.
