Did you think of that yourself, or are you just another "metalhead" sheep following the pack?

There style was quite different after Burton(RIP) passed away in that fatal accident. You could feel a different sound in And Justice For All and then it was extremely diffrent in the Black Album. Load was a mediocre album(a few good songs but a bunch of crappy ones), Reload wasn't my slice of cake.

Nah I thought of it myself and held that belief among ridicule when they sold roughly 10 gigabazillion copies of it. :)

All songs on Albums Justice, Kill, Ride, Puppets :D

I like them still because I am musically inclined and does sound good in a musical sense. But the Metal Side of me really does despise songs after Black album :|

I love everything Metallica composed except most of the songs on the St. Anger album.

It's a step in the right direction, but, it kinda sounds a little like warmed over Pantera.

i don't understand people who say "everything after Metallica (self-titled) sucks" when the self-titled album sounds a lot more like Load than it does AJFA. if you are gonna stay on the right bandwagon, then self-titled should suck too:)

And Justice For All is a masterpiece. So far, it's my favorite.
To me, it's much more interesting then albums like Kill Em All.

LOL...

Seriously though. If you like that kind of music, there is nothing wrong with their older stuff. Who cares if you don't like their newer stuff? They're free to do as they please. You wouldn't be writing the same sh!t after 20 years, either.

Give it a rest. :p

I, too, think their latest album is interesting. Like 'em or hate 'em, Metallica has always said "We don't give a sh!t". They do as they please, they don't follow a formula..

If it isn't your thing, then it isn't your thing. But that's all it is.

These are the kind of stupidass comments that make people like me flame on. ;)

Do you even know what the damn term means? Apparently not. Each and every one of their albums have been different. As I said, they don't follow a formula. They write what feels good. What more could you ask from them as musicians?

Just because you do not like their current music doesen't mean they're sellouts. It means your tastes aren't following theirs.

They're better than any cookie cutter group, as can be evidenced by the fact that they're still around after 20 years.

Shrug.

Crap, I should of known it would turn into a flame war. It was supposed to be a harmless joke.
