OK, this is pretty weird and I need your help badly. You guys/gals are the first ones I come to. :)

Well, I was running some stuff on my computer like normal and I a friend stopped by and so I opened the door and when I came back to my computer it had BSOD on my WinXP Pro machine and when I restarted it it just beeps steady in intervals, like beep beep beep, etc... :)

I don't know why it does this or what could have caused it. I've had my computer running fine for over a month with no lockups or anything and I keep my computer running almost 24/7. Just a quick rundown I have a IWILL XP333-R mobo with two hard drives in Raid 0. You can look at my sig for a more detailed system info. This is driving me crazy and I cannot lose all my information on my computer.

Any ideas? I've tried resetting the bios so far, but no luck. Any suggestions, and I do mean any, will be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't worry about losing all your data as what you have described does not at all sound like a hard drive problem.

You need to check into those beep codes, and if that is no help go ahead and just start checking individual components and see if they have failed.

UPDATE: Thanks for the beep codes, they helped me out. :)

It was 1 long beep every second or so and it said it was the ram... I took out the ram and reseated them and it's booting up right now. I don't get it though... it's been running over a month like this with no problems and then it just crashes and won't boot!?!?

Is my ram going bad?

What is a good ram checker (if there is one)?

Thanks everyone.

It may have just vibrated loose or something. Maybe you bumped it. Computers are weird. I wouldn't stress over it too much unless it happens again.
