i don't remember where i first read this.
every elected president since 1900 has had a consecutive double letter in their name or initials.

William McKinley,
Theodore Roosevelt,
William Taft,
Woodrow Wilson,
Warren G. Harding,
Calvin Coolidge,
Herbert Hoover,
Franklin D Roosevelt,
Harry S Truman,
Dwight D Eisenhower,
John F Kennedy,
Richard N. Nixon,
Jimmy Carter,
Ronald Reagan,
Bill Clinton,

The only exceptions are George Bush and George W. Bush, and if you recall, they ran against candidates that also did not have double letters (Michael Dukakis and Al Gore)..

So I guess it would follow that Kerry will beat Bush this year?

edit: I guess I screwd up Nixon, his middle initial was M, not N...
but he was impeached, so in a way, i guess he was un-elected? 😛

I have no idea, but Nixon has two N's in it anyways.
