I go to the store and every fucking yogurt I see is low-fat, 99% fat free, yadda yadda

Im not obese. Give me some mothafucking full fat yogurt replete with savory creamy fattiness.

(in spite of that, yoplait Thick & Creamy is quite good)

gotta buy the awesome greek or middle eastern yogurt at the gourmet market or ethnic market.

awesome stuff, man.

i prefer the fruity berry yogurts though - ME stuff is a tad too sour

I think you're just going to the wrong stores. Whole Foods has them for sure, and so do international markets. Stonyfield is a good brand. We buy plain whole milk yogurt from Indian grocery stores for cooking.

In all seriousness, we used to make our own yogurt all the time. It's really easy, provided you have other yogurt you can use to start (though it's not necessary).

It's not that difficult and you get a delicious flavor. I love the sour flavor that you get from these types of yogurts though.

yup. Greek Yogurt or fail.

if you want the thickness, though, you can take watery American plain yogurt and let it drain over cheesecloth O/N. works like a charm.

Maybe add a stick of melted butter in your yogurt next time?

Why melt it? Just dip it in and eat like celery and cottage cheese.

I used to eat butter coated with sugar...just to freak people out 🙂

That'd probably be good with brown sugar... mmmm

This was a topic of conversation yesterday while I was at the grocery. I don't know why, but it is frustrating.
