why isn't there a industry standard wifi syncing

i find it odd that a standard protocol doesn't exist.

linksys SecureEasySetup faded away, buffalo AOSS is good enough but has limited adoption since it's not an industry standard.

why doesn't the Wi-Fi Alliance or intel come up with a standard syncing protocol?

For the same reason that 802.11n is not out.

The "Players" can not agree since every one wants is technology to be the dominant part of the standard.

As an Example, if AOSS become the standard then every one would have yo pay royalties, or some sort of leasing fees to who ever patented, or has the copyright to the technology.

As a result the only thing that they can agreed upon is Not to Agree.
