Why isn't there a day where people are reminded of the number of bad mothers there are out there?

Just wondering.

Mother's day remembers good mothers.

But what about the mothers who don't deserve to be remembered?
Or worse, those who should be held up as an example of insanity and evilness?

Send your mom a crack rock then, help her habit if it's such a problem! ;)

Get the broom and clean up the mess you made, it'll fit under the rug nicely.

 Why should we remember those who don't deserve to be remembered?

I think there should be a Hitler day, so as to remind us all of the evils of the past.

Hitler deserves to be remembered, so that something like him will not happen again. But thats different from people who don't deserve to be remembered, and the OP specifically said "But what about the mothers who don't deserve to be remembered?"

They deserve to be remembered for their crappyness, as in, they deserve to be remebered because they deserve not to be remembered.

Hmm...

Yes. I meant it as they deserve to be er.. "highlighted" so that people can avoid becoming like them.

I thought bad mothers were remembered the other 364 days of the year by your local and national TV news, newspapers, and internet sites.
