Now, here's the weird thing. K-State is the Big XII champ, and they get the automatic bid despite being ranked lower than Texas. Yet, West Virginia was the Big East Champ, and they get shut out of the BCS because they weren't ranked highly enough. That just fuels my hatred of the BCS even more. Even when a team plays its way in, so to speak, the mathematical formula keeps them out. Technically, they shared the title with Miami, but they did beat Miami when the two met. God, the BCS sucks so much.

Uh Miami holds part of the Big East Title.
I realize that. But, why should Miami hold part of the title? They have the same record as West Virginia (in conference), and they lost to them. Just going by conference records, West Virginia should have played their way in. Now, I'm not saying that West Virginia is nearly as good as Miami. There was more than a bit of luck involved in their win. But, they won. I don't know why the BCS ranking counts for more than head to head games. That's all I'm saying.

Miami beat West Virginia. West Virginia beat Virginia Tech
