why isnt some popular mobos recommended by AMD?

Aharami

the ECS K7S5A, EPOX 8K7A, Gigabyte GA-7DXR, Abit KG7, and ASUS A7M266 seem to be really popular mobos for the AMD 1.4 tbird. Everywhere i go, people recommend them to me. But out of all these, AMD recommends only the Gigabyte GA-7DX. why is that?

AMD recommends the following mobos for 1.4 tbird (A1400 (266 FSB))

Biostar M7MIA/M7VIB
Chaintech 7KJD
DPI AK76
EPOX EP-8KHA
FIC AD11
Gigabyte GA-7DX
MSI MS-6380/K7T266 Pro
QDI KuDO7 7
Shuttle AK31

Why dont the names of any of these boards come up in recommendations?
And what's the difference between a ATX form factor and a uATX form Factor?

The questions just keep on growing....

The reason some boards are recommended more than others here is that they perform better (oc'ing or just straight benches) than the other boards on your list.

Amd may not update it's list very often. Also, maybe none of these popular boards were given to Amd for testing.
