If the Conquistador ran as a Rockefeller Republican or even if he won by a small majority, then I don't see why it's so unusual to expect him to lose MA. However, due to the fact that the GOP of 2012 lacks the GOP's 2008 populism, Romney shouldn't lose MA by that large of a margin... even if he doesn't Obama won't serve a full second term because Hillary Clinton, who is next in order of succession, said she wouldn't be Sec. of State again but she wasn't sure what she'd do other than that she wouldn't be in the Executive again... Nancy Pelosi (yet another Democrat) comes before Biden. That said, the Republicans are in a perfect position to launch a coup dtat even if Romney screws up severely... Romney will not be spared if he fails, because Santorum will become President. Don't forget that both of the two larger 3rd party candidates are hammering Obama but not Romney, because one of those two would be just like Romney and the other doesn't like Obama because he's too independent.
Massachusetts people like corporatist policies anyway when they can't have socialist policies. Perhaps Romney ran against a Blue Dog Democrat.
Obama probably won't live to next year, but Nancy Pelosi will probably make a quick escape with her dear pal Newt Gingrich. Hillary Clinton won't survive the crossfire and I'm going to be tortured in a not-so-pretty place if I live much longer.
That's what I was getting at with NY. Our area which exerts control is proportionally even smaller. Our incredible tax rates are dictated by policies set up by people who don't give us a second thought.
Sounds like there needs to be some secession because a confederalist constitution for all of NY won't last.
