If you actually did get it you're a lot smarter than me. Being that a pun is a play on words and the near-acronymness of the former I was wondering why it couldn't just be called a pon instead. When I woke up this morning I realized that 'words' does not start with an n, and 1 out of 3 is not too good. Although it could be a play on words...
