I know in much of Asia ground pork is one of the more consumed meats, but it seems like it is almost unheard of in the western world. You don't really see it being it sold in supermarkets, and few if any restaurants serve anything with ground pork.

Why isn't ground pork more popular in the west?

Coincidentally ground beef doesn't seem very popular at all in Asia.

We use ground pork in my home. Mix it 50/50 with ground turkey as a substitute for ground beef. Makes awesome meat loaf, "hamburgers", chili, and spaghetti sauce.

We buy it at the wal-mart superstore down the road.

Don't forget very tastey Meatballs. My great grandmother used to make ground pork burgers with huge chunks of garlic and onions. mmmm delicious.

My friends from Nepal made dumplings and I think they had ground pork in the middle of them, too greasy and not all that tasty.

i dunno. we don't have it available here at all for obvious reasons. i will say that the one time i tired bacon, i hated it. i have no religous issues with eating pork, i just don't like it.

My mom uses pork in a lot of things while cooking Korean food. I had some pork bulgogi earlier today.

Every super market I shop at sells it. I live in a dinky town in the mountains of Tennessee. If this little town has it, be asured the rest of the country has it too.
