why is Zao so good?

I swear, every time I listen to Zao they just get better and better. Their music is simply genius. Every beat is well-placed, and every note and chord is perfect. The juxtaposition of the chugging and the screeching guitars is just incredible. The drumming is top-notch (Jesse Smith is one of the best drummer I've ever heard). The lyrics, while usually carrying some sort of religios content, are enthralling nonetheless. You can just feel the emotion they put into the music. How did they get so good??
