Why is XP Pro all of a sudden booting up to the profile screen?

My profile is the only one on the pc, and today when I booted it up it took me to the profile screen instead of booting straight to the desktop. I changed nothing to get it to do that. How do I get it back to booting straight to the desktop?

My guess is that you installed a security update.

If you download TweakUI from Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

you can have it login a user automatically.

That might have been it too. I remember the same thing happened to my dad's computer. All I remember was installing all the updates on his computer.

If you apply the .net update it will fix the "login screen" issue.

Yes .net did it to me too, and I only have ONE profile how stupid is it to ask me which I want to use.
