Why is XBOX so freakin loud?

Loud? Man it's quieter than my old PS2!

It's been awhile since I've taken a look at the inside of an xbox, but if the fans inside are of a standard size, you could always take them out and replace them with Panaflos or Papsts or Stealths or any other ultra-quiet fan.

I know what you mean Spooner... with games it's not too bad cause the sound usually covers it, but with DVD's (especially quieter movies) it's very irritating. One of the reasons why I bought my xbox was for the DVD player and now I'm thinking about buying one seperately. Definitely a nuisance. I'm thinking about gettin rid of it altogether actually... Halo is the only good nonsports game.

Same goes for the PS2! I was watching LotR on it and sitting like 4-5 feet away and when it got quiet all I could hear was the fan buzzing. Doesnt bother me in games though
